Another reason to make the switch to Genext Voice has been circulating in the news. According to an analysis of a recent J.D. Power & Associates survey by cable's top Washington lobbyist, "Consumers could save more than $60 billion in five years by switching to voice-over-Internet-protocol calling services offered by cable operators." In a recent speech, National Cable & Telecommunications Association president, Kyle McSlarrow, said J.D. Power found that cable VoIP customers were paying $11.19 less per month than consumers taking traditional phone service.
In a July survey, J.D. Power found that cable VoIP customers were paying $42.40 per month, while traditional phone customers were paying $53.59 for local and long-distance service, producing the $11.19 monthly differential. McSlarrow's consumer savings assumed that cable VoIP pricing would continue to undercut the competition and cable VoIP's market share would reach 85%.
Beyond cost savings, another recent study revealed that 86 percent of VoIP customers are very satisfied with their service, compared to 74 percent satisfaction among traditional landline customers. Of the consumers already using VoIP, 76 percent indicated that they are not at all likely to return to traditional phone service!

Chelan PUD Board Meeting
A very important community meeting for Chelan County residents is about to take place concerning the progress and future of the community fiber network. We encourage all customers in Chelan County who are passionate about fiber and the advances the technology is bringing to our community to not miss this opportunity to share your feedback. The Chelan PUD's public board meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 25th and will focus on the progress and future course of the Chelan PUD Fiber Optic Network. The main meeting starts at 10am with the fiber discussions beginning at 1pm.
This public board meeting is a rare opportunity where the new General Manager, Rich Riazzi, the existing board and the new board candidates will receive a progress report and begin evaluating the future course of the fiber optic network.
This is a pivotal session where public feedback could greatly impact PUD leadership. In this presentation, residents and business leaders have the opportunity to share their fiber stories and help define the course of the fiber network build out.
It is critical that fiber customers and supporters attend this meeting. With a new General Manager and prospective Commissioners reviewing the fiber project, positive feedback from ratepayers is absolutely vital.
We encourage each of our Chelan County customers to attend this meeting and provide a short 30-second to 1-minute testimonial of how this network is positively impacting their family, business or life here in the valley.

Community Meeting at the Senior Center
Our very own Scott Daniels recently conducted a community presentation about Genext and our communication services at the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center. The meeting took place on Friday, September 15th and attracted over 50 people interested in learning more about the Internet and various high-speed services. The Senior Center invited Genext to come and discuss this exciting technology while giving knowledgeable insight into the Internet world.

Owners, Drew and Sarah Zabrocki, recently attended the GE Security Pro Conference at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington.
