In Chelan County, fiber areas are lighting up daily, access has already been built to over 17,500 homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, and government offices. For those not fortunate enough to experience the benefits of fiber, the Chelan PUD hopes to pass up to 95 percent of the county by 2012.
Douglas County has chosen a different approach, connecting customers living in remote locations first, leading to the slower connection times. By the end of 2006, the DCCN hopes to have close to 5,000 serviceable customers.
In Grant County, fiber passes 10,000 plus business and home locations. The ZIPP network is currently developing a workable business plan to continue build out to the rest of the community.

The Event of the Season: Festival of Trees
The changing of seasons happens slowly in the Valley. As the shadowy breeze sneaks out of early morning and into the afternoon, it is evident that winter is on the horizon. With the start of the winter season comes the many holiday events in the Wenatchee Valley, one of our favorites being the annual Festival of Trees.
Genext is a proud supporter of the Festival, whose mission is raising money for the performing arts. A gift we gladly give each year to continue our support for the regional performing arts center.
