While spring is just a month away, the Wenatchee Valley is already gearing up for the season. If our old friend, Punxsutawney Phil is correct this year, we will be in for an earlier spring than usual. This means a jumpstart on those household projects, yard cleanup and all the other decorating and home interior ideas that were put on hold over the winter. If you are looking for ideas, a business to bring your dreams to life or just want to spend a few hours browsing the booths, make sure to mark down the weekend of March 9th - 12th.
With one successful Home Show already behind us, don't miss the opportunity to check out Genext and the other 150+ vendors at this years KPQ Home and Garden Show. The 31st annual KPQ event attracts roughly 30,000 visitors over the three-day show.
This year, we have moved our booth and would love for you to drop by. Genext has claimed two to three booths on the bottom level, just at the foot of the stairs and across from the elevators. Please make sure to check out our amazing display of the finest home technology on the market. The layout is just as cozy as your own living room and features a 50" flat screen TV that will make you utter... "Now that's TV."
Whether you are laying the foundation of a new home or just looking to make some domestic improvements, the KPQ Home and Garden Show has something for everyone. It is a great way to meet local vendors offering everything from luxury items such as hot tubs to necessities such as insulation and financing and an opportunity to check out the latest and greatest on the market.
And back again this year is Ciscoe Morris and Meeghan Black. They will host a lively and informative presentation featuring garden tips and tricks for the perfect yard; check them out at the Show on Sunday at 1:00 pm. This will surely be another show you won't want to miss.

Achoo!
The flu has officially arrived in North Central Washington and area schools, day cares and many local businesses are feeling the effects of the illness. The strain of flu hitting the region is presenting stomach bug like symptoms accompanied by a high fever and nausea. While the flu arrived later than usual, health officials expect it to spread throughout the region into April.
So, what can you do to reduce the likelihood of getting the flu? Hopefully, you were vaccinated! Make sure you wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and if that is not possible then use the "sneeze sleeve" by coughing or sneezing into your upper sleeve.
Other good health habits to avoid getting sick:
Wash your hands with soap and warm water for 15 to 20 seconds.
Make sure your hands are clean before touching your eyes, nose, mouth or food.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Get plenty of rest, more than your typical amount is necessary to beat the illness.
Drink plenty of fluids and eat nutritious food.
If you have a fever, stay home.
Avoid using alcohol and tobacco.
Keep a sick child at home if the child cannot join in normal activities or they need more care than a teacher or care staff can provide.

Bundled Savings...Really, How Much Can You Save?
The concept is beginning to spread, Bundle and Save. You may have seen commercials from Qwest, Comcast and some of the other big guys. Or perhaps you've seen a billboard, flyer in the mail or heard a friend preaching about the savings they received by choosing one company for Internet, TV and Voice Services. But how much can you save??
How does an extra $260 a year sound? Yes, and that's just if you have Internet and Analog TV. Genext customers with Digital TV and Internet will save over $320 a year. That's an extra $20-25 a month just for bundling your Internet and TV Service along with Genext Voice, our low cost phone service that starts at $14.99 a month. Bundling services saves money.
And unlike some of the bigger companies where bundled deals are limited-time offers ranging from three to 12 months, Genext's bundled savings don't expire and long-term contracts are not required. Anyone can signup for Genext and save money just by bundling their services on one bill.
It's easy. Just call Genext and choose the bundle you want. Internet, TV and Voice...all three services starting at just $63.49 for the basic package.
