On May 12th, the US Postal Service added yet another additional
increase to stamps, raising the total to 42 cents to send
a piece of mail. The 1-cent increase has made the price of
sending a letter or bill seem excessive compared to a mere
dime it cost in the early 70's. And this is the third
increase in just 28 months!
Looking for ways to avoid the continuous cost increases? Make the
switch to Genext auto-pay! This easy solution will not only save you
time and money, it helps to simplify your life. Once you sign up for
auto-pay, your Genext bill gets paid electronically on the 5th of
every month. Your payments are made quickly and conveniently, and
you never have to track payment due dates, buy stamps, visit the mailbox
or write checks.
Auto pay is a rapidly increasing trend, according to Forrester Research,
the number of automatic bill paying users will grow by 63 percent
to roughly 60 million households over the next five years. Genext
has seen a steady increase among customers making the switch to auto
pay for the convenience of automatically paying their bills. Many
find it simpler than the old fashioned, more time consuming and costly
method of writing a check, adding a stamp, mailing and filing a paper
copy.
Beyond cost savings and convenience, Genext auto pay also offers
customers a way to be more environmentally conscious. Think of all
the trees you are saving by choosing Genext's auto-pay solution!

Password Protection
Do you have trouble coming up with new passwords? It seems
this is a common issue, with many people opting for passwords
that are easy to remember and not necessarily unique! While
it often seems to be easiest sticking with the same old password,
you may be jeopardizing your security. With many of us choosing
the same easy-to-remember password it has lead to a plethora
of common and unprotected passwords.
PC Magazine has a list of the most commonly used passwords,
if yours is on the list, we recommend that you consider changing
it.
password
123456
qwerty
abc123
letmein
monkey
myspace 1
password 1
blink182
(your first name)
Did you find one of your passwords on the list above? The
trick is to use a "root" (either a common name or word)
that is not in one of the top 10. Place
an "appendage" (symbol or number), we suggest using two
of them, in an unusual place: Either in the middle of the
root or at both the beginning and the end. Also, you should
mix upper and lowercase letters in the middle of your root.
Your passwords should be at least 8 or more characters in length.
If you want to get really tricky, choose a root word that
you can pronounce but which is spelled "wrong": armwar or pitchsure or baysball are all examples. Then attach your appendage(s): arm9!9war or 1066pitchsure6601 or bay1776sball.
While you don't need to make every password complicated,
it is wise for highly sensitive information such as financial,
banking or anywhere you use online transactions.
