The Douglas County Fiber Network is a high-speed, broadband fiber-optic telecommunications infrastructure originally intended for utility functions. This network will ultimately replace existing communication systems and will allow the Public Utilities to monitor, control, and manage its electric system more effectively.
By connecting directly to the Douglas PUD Network, Genext provides homes and businesses with connections to some of the fastest information exchange systems in the country.

Tomorrow's Technology Today...
The communication possibilities are truly revolutionary. Experts in the telecommunications industry believe that fiber-optic networks are capable of "unlimited bandwidth". Through relatively simple upgrades to the core bandwidth and connected devices, the network can incorporate the latest technological advances.

Connecting Multiple Computers...
Each computer will need a network interface card (NIC) to connect to the network. In order to connect to the box outside your home, a certified electrician should professionally install a CAT5e cable.
If you are networking multiple computers, a CAT5e wire should be installed at each computer, back to a central point and then to the box outside your home.
Genext, LLC provides home-wiring and structured cabling through its Integrated Systems Division. For additional information, please contact us.
